I’m Julia Hoffman — family therapist, divorce coach and mom to four daughters.

A family walking dogs on a sidewalk in a park setting; includes women, children, and two small dogs on leashes.

I help people navigate relationships and breakups with warmth, humor and real-time support.

Watching families accomplish what they never thought possible is the best part of my job. I’m proud to say: Every family that I’ve worked with came out better on the other side.

Because I work with both parents, my technique is not only unique, but transformational.

By understanding each person’s strengths, challenges and communication styles, I’ m able to offer a unified strategy instead of conflicting advice.

You get one consistent voice, one plan and one shared goal: To raise healthy, well-adjusted kids — even while living in two homes.

My approach is unique and highly effective because I work with both parents.

While that might sound impossible, it’s exactly why this process is successful. By understanding each individual’s strengths, challenges and communication styles, I’m able to offer a unified strategy instead of conflicting advice.

I have a master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy (2009, Antioch University Seattle), specialized training in crisis management, grief counseling, and child development, and I’m a Wayfinder Coach through Martha Beck’s program (she was Oprah’s life coach, so she knows her stuff). But more than that — I’ve lived this. I was a child of divorce, a parent who divorced with three young kids, and for the past 15 years, I’ve been helping families through some of the toughest transitions. I bring both professional expertise and real-life experience to my work.
